The earth trembles slightly


An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale shook a little before 6 am the Rivière-du-Loup. Security Municipal Riviere-du-Loup claimed to have received some calls from citizens. The epicenter of the earthquake is located 17 kilometers south-west of Riviere-du-Loup. The tremor was felt up to Quebec and Saguenay. It is a jolt stronger than those usually recorded in the seismic zone of the Charlevoix region. An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale was felt in the Quebec City region two weeks ago. The epicenter of the quake stood at some sixty kilometers north of the town of Beaupré.
